　國際趨勢大師約翰.奈思比（John Naisbitt）夫婦四日到台北縣演講時指出，目前台灣無法決定統獨方向，他們因此提出「非政治區」(political free zone) 概念，希望排除政黨思維，以經濟利益及全民福祉來考量兩岸關係，避免不必要的虛耗。

    　奈思比夫婦昨天上午應台北縣府與遠見雜誌邀請，針對台灣與中國的關係發表專題演講，並與縣長周錫瑋、雜誌創辦人高希均等對談，現場擠滿欲一睹大師風采的民眾。

    　約翰.奈思比表示，東西方最大不同在於西方民主屬於「水平式」民主發展，東方尤其是中國屬於「垂直式」民主發展。所謂西方水平式民主，就是類似兩黨政治的互相競爭與牽制，但這種制度已陷入嚴重危機。

    　他以美國總統歐巴馬為例，這麼有魅力的人，都會在推動健保制度上，因為政黨利益而陷入支持與反對的二元論困境，與他卅年前提出代議政治將走向式微的預言不謀而合。

    　反觀中國「垂直式」民主制度，可讓政府與民眾有犯錯機會，上下的垂直管理，猶如公司制度，ＣＥＯ帶領民眾朝向目標邁進，民眾也可將聲音傳達給領導，但這並非代表制度優劣，而是希望比較各種制度的優缺點。

    　他還提出「非政治區」（political free zone）的概念，也就是選擇若干公民議題，將政黨利益排除在外，保持政治真空狀態，單純就政策優劣進行辯論，以目前的兩岸關係為例，統一、獨立迄無定論，如果能先將統獨排除在外，單純討論經濟、文化交流，以全民福祉為出發點，積極努力於經濟發展，或許才是台灣應該努力的目標。

    　除了政府體制與兩岸關係，奈思比同時表示，國際目前有兩個大趨勢，一是全球關注的重心，已從西方移向東方，而中國就是東方的代表，另外一個就是全球已朝單一經濟體發展，國家疆界已逐漸消弭，這些都是未來值得觀察的重點。

I love this quote, "民眾也可將聲音傳達給領導" how exactly? telepathy? psychic connection? I mean people can't protest or vote.

this guy doesn't compare how freedom of speech and social liberty differs from US to China, just compare the economic impact. I wonder why? :lol

this is nothing special, there are many CCP sympathizers in US or any western country. but the funny part, they'll never migrate themselves from a social free society to a totalitarian regime. :lol :lol :lol

really? so resort to barbaric insults is the gentleman's way for expressing one's opinion? I didn't know that. is that how you were brought up? I'm not accustomed towards such an elegant figure of speech. It's due to an unfortunate lack of education in this department during my childhood. :lol :lol
